Jill Zarin’s Cosmetic Surgery Procedures: Still a “Real” Housewife?
The above side-by-side images of Real Housewives of New York City’s star Jill Zarin show a dramatically different countenance for the reality cast member. The pic on the left was taken Sunday at the TV Land Awards. The pic on the right is from back on October 14th, 2010 during an appearance for a breast cancer fund raiser.
Jill Zarin has had plastic surgery, but the question is just what has she had done and what hasn’t she had done?
One of the fan favorites on “The Real Housewives of New York,” Zarin is known for her signature wit, fiery temper and her red bangs.
While she’s changed her hair style to reveal more of her forehead, there have been questions regarding her updated look. And most of those questions revolve around the premise of “what surgery did Zarin get to look like that?”
While rumors have included Botox and facial fillers, the opinions of the experts and the words of the star herself clash. Jill herself as been pretty honest about what she’s had done.
This new look bears the obvious question, “Has Jill Zarin had any shall we say upgrades?” Well as fans of the show know the 47-year-old isn’t one to hold back on expressing herself and she told Popeater’s Rob Shuter that she DID NOT have any work done.
“If I did, I would be the first to admit it,” says the reality star. “When I had by breast reduction I was very open about it.”
A plastic surgeon who was interviewed for Popeater’s write-up felt differently. Dr. Jennifer Walden stated that:
“It appears Jill Zarin has had injectables like Botox to her crow’s feet and forehead, as well as possible fillers to the nasolabial folds, or laugh lines,” says Dr. Walden. “Also, it looks like she has had a rhinoplasty (or nose job), which served to straighten and narrow her nose.”
For an even more dramatic side-by side check out the same recent image from above alongside a photo taken of Zarin from back on June 15th, 2010 during her appearance at the 9th Annual Four Seasons of Hope Gala at Cipriani Wall Street:
NYC Housewife Jill Zarin revealed a shocking new look that has people asking if she had work done.
I’m no expert for sure but without question Jill’s new look certainly is different. I’d like to add that I thought she looked amazing regardless if there has or has not been any work done! So what do you think? Has zingin’ Jill Zarin had plastic surgery and will the Ramonacoaster ever let her live this down if she has?
Has Jill Zarin Gotten Any Plastic Surgery?
Jill Zarin before and after botox & facial fillers? The real housewife has admitted, in a trend that we’ve seen with big stars like Susan Sarandon, that she has had surgery in the past. While accusations of awful plastic surgery might be flying now, Zarin was open and honest with her fans when she had a breast reduction.
Now though she is denying that her altered face is the result of plastic surgery.
Dr. Jennifer Walden, a Manhattan plastic surgeon who was not involved with Jill Zarin plastic surgery in any way, gave her opinion as a professional about the signs Zarin shows.
“It appears Jill Zarin plastic surgery has had injectables like Botox to her crow’s feet and forehead, as well as possible fillers to the nasolabial folds, or laugh lines.” Walden also went on to say that it looked as if Zarin had gotten a rhinoplasty, or a nose job, to narrow and sculpt her nose.
Real Housewife Jill Zarin denies plastic surgery, opens up about liquid facelift.
But Jill Zarin insists she had no plastic surgery on her face, and credits Restylane injections for her smoother complexion and clever makeup for her narrower-looking nose.
"I have a liquid facelift every six months," Jill Zarin, 47, told People. "It really works. No knives!
"A 'liquid facelift' is "just using injectables. I won't say it doesn't hurt, but it's 100% worth it. She took 10 years off my face."
Jill Zarin recently began getting Botox injections along the jaw line and up the sides of her face from New York dermatologist Dr. Patricia Wexler. The procedure can costs $1,000-$3,000 per visit, but she says it makes her look younger.
What kinds of plastic surgery Jill Zarin has done?
Facelift:
"I won't say it doesn't hurt," says Jill Zarin, 47. "But it's 100 percent worth it. She took ten years off my face."
The Housewife says she's been getting Botox in her forehead and between her eyes for 10 years – and more recently, in her neck. "I'm scared I'm going to get a turkey neck," she says. "It runs in my family."
As for her new nose, Jill Zarin says it's not needles or knives, but rather the work of her new hair and makeup artist, Jim Crawford.
"He put brown contouring makeup on my nose and thinned it out," she says.
Crawford explains the makeup magic: "We also made her face look thinner by airbrushing the sides and hairline two shades darker," he says. "Before she was just using TV makeup, which didn't give any dimension."
Getting rid of bangs also changed up the Housewife's look. "With the bangs down, the nose takes up the largest percentage of her face," Crawford explains.
Botox Injections:
Like many other Real Housewives stars, Jill Zarin gets regular Botox injections between her eyes and in her forehead -- a procedure she has been doing for the past decade.
In 2009, Zarin underwent breast-reduction surgery, downsizing from her natural 32G to a D-cup, but she insists she has never gone under the knife for her face.
When asked about her slimmer-looking nose, Jill Zarin says it's crafty contouring.
"Truthfully, I had absolutely no plastic surgery to my face, no cutting, no nose job," she says. "I have done Botox and filler injections and have a new makeup artist.
"[My makeup artist Jim Crawford] put brown contouring makeup on my nose and thinned it out," she says.
Crawford explains: "We also made her face look thinner by airbrushing the sides and hairline two shades darker," he says. "Before she was just using TV makeup, which didn't give any dimension."
Crawford also got rid of Jill's trademark bangs. "With the bangs down, the nose takes up the largest percentage of her face," he explains.
