Barry Manilow

Barry Manilow, 67, was on hand last night for the grand opening of Gallery nightclub at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.  He was looked decidedly tight, as in…recent cosmetic surgery.

The singer-songwriter has been performing for nearly 40 years and has probably had the equivalent of three faces of skin removed over that time frame.  He’s had at least one nose job and who can blame him.  His early photos featured an incredibly large schnozzola.

We’ve also noticed that the crooner’s lips are thinner than in his early years and his chin looks more chiseled too.
Manilow isn’t the only veteran who is keeping plastic surgeon’s in business.  View our galleries for talk show host Regis & Joy Philbin, actress Jane Fonda, politico Sarah Palin, Dirty Dancing celeb Jennifer Grey, and Goldie Hawn.
BARRY Manilow sparked PLASTIC SURGERY rumours today - as he greeted fans with a stretched and oddly contoured face.
The 68-year-old singer - famous for hits like Can't Smile Without You - drew gasps outside the BBC Radio 2 studios in London.
His famous conk seemed untouched but skin along his jawline appeared stretched to behind his ears.

The look is often associated with a facelift procedure, where surgical glue is used to help 'pin' drooping skin back.

Barry's cheeks looked strangely puffy too beneath his signature layers of stage make-up.

And the Copacabana hitmaker's forehead was remarkably smooth for a man in his sixties.

Rumours of plastic surgery date back to July 2003, when the star was said to have had a complete upper and lower facelift.

The op was said to have removed drooping skin from his eyelids and tightened the skin around his jawline.
Could it be magic? ... skin along Barry's jawline appears dragged up to behind his ears.
But Manilow denies his current looks are the result of a surgeon's scalpel.

The legendary crooner - who has admitted to Botox jabs - said in a recent interview: "I just seem to be the guy – I’m the Joan Rivers of the plastic surgery thing [because] of one picture and the Botox.

"But I do see those pictures that they think [show] that I’ve done loads of surgery. And I know why they think that, because those pictures are weird.”
Early days ... how Barry looked at the start of his career in the 1970s.
Yet Barry puts his strange appearance down to STEROID JABS for chronic hip pain, rather than plastic surgery.

He said: "They had to keep giving me steroid shots. And steroid shots blow you up. They blow your body up and, most of all, they blow your face up.

“So when I see those pictures with my face blown up, they attributed that to me and bad plastic surgery."

Manilow has had surgery to correct torn cartilage in both hips in August 2006 and in December last year.
Altered looks ... Barry's face appears 'worked on' in 2006 and 2011.
Barry Manilow: Before and After Plastic Surgery.
Singer Barry Manilow tried to keep his plastic surgery under wraps, but it eventually came out that he had an upper and lower facelift in 2003. With that in mind, it’s no wonder that he appears not to have aged between 1999 (left) and 2011 (right).

Too much plastic surgery for Barry Manilow.
Singer Barry Manilow, 67, reportedly had a facelift in 1995, a second facelift and eyelid surgery in 2003, a third facelift in 2006, plus regular Botox injections.

That’s too much, according to plastic surgeon and blogger Dr. Tony Youn of Michigan.

“I’d like to see a bit more natural aging to his face,” Youn said.

“I believe that facial plastic surgery can create a very natural appearance when the goal is to take 10-20 years off someone. When we start to go after 25, 30, or even 40 years, then people start looking fake.”

“Maybe he should dedicate his song, ‘I Can’t Smile Without You,’ to his plastic surgeon. (No, not me),” Youn joked
